Take your family and friends out to the Soccer Planet facility in Urbana for some free Lil' Kickers sample classes from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Oct. 29. Children ages 1.5 to 9 years will have the opportunity to play developmentally appropriate games, run around and have fun. There will be snacks and drinks, as well as the opportunity to sign up for our Lil Kickers.
Ever wanted to try biking to work? C-U Bike to Work Day is your chance to do that or try cycling for fun, fitness or transportation.
Join others biking to work between 7 and 10 a.m. on May 3 for coffee, fruit and other treats. A bike station will be located at the corner of Prospect Avenue and Curtis Road in Savoy.
During the month of April, Curves gyms in the Champaign area are participating in the 13th Annual Curves Food Drive to collect non-perishable food and cash donations to benefit area food banks. Current members who make a $30 donation or an equivalent donation of food are eligible to receive a Curves reusable Food Drive grocery bag.
