Beginning the morning of June 25, Tickseed Avenue in Prairie Fields subdivision in Savoy will be closed to through traffic between Dropseed Drive and Sunflower Street for construction of street improvements associated with a multi-use path project.
Beginning the morning of Friday, June 8, a portion of Prairie Rose Lane in Savoy between Sunflower Street and Gentian Street will be reduced to one lane for approximately one week for the construction of street improvements associated with a bicycle and pedestrian path. Motorists are asked to use an alternate route if possible and use caution within the work zone.
There will be oil and chip applications on West Church Street, First Street and Airport Road in Savoy through today (Aug. 19).
Starting Monday, July 18, Prospect Avenue will be closed to through traffic from Galen Drive to Curtis Road in Savoy for a pavement patching and overlay project.
Woodfield Drive from Arbour Towne Place south to Curtis Road will be closed for reconstruction beginning at 7 a.m. Monday, June 27.
The road will be rebuilt in stages, allowing for access to at least one drive for any of the businesses along the route at all times. However, it may be necessary to access the business entrances from the parking lot on the west side of the roadway.
The following street locations in Tolono are scheduled to be repaired this summer:
Condit from Austin to George
Condit from George to Strong
Condit from Strong to Linden
Condit from Linden to Holden
Cory from Holden to Reynolds
Broadway from Calhoun to Elizabeth
Boone from Broadway to First
Locust from Calhoun to Central
The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) has announced that, weather permitting, work is scheduled to begin May 16 for resurfacing of U.S. 45 from Curtis Road in Savoy to Deerpath Drive in Tolono.
SAVOY — Repairs to a pavement failure on Arbour Towne Place will begin Monday, Feb. 14.
The project will require the westbound lanes of the street between U.S. 45 and Woodfield Drive to be closed to traffic for roughly a week, according to Public Works Director Brent Maue. If there are no weather delays, the project is expected to continue through Monday, Feb. 21.
