Hamilton gets 200th win

No one said playing the game would be easy, especially on homecoming night. On a brisk, cool night, the 1-5 Rantoul Eagles took on the 5-1 Unity Rockets. It would not be an easy match-up for the Eagles as the Rockets looked to bring home another win.

URBANA—It’s a lot of driving around observing, listening and checking things out.  The job is never the same from one minute to the next, and all plans tend to go out the window during the course of a shift.  For one evening in mid-July, I drove along with Champaign County Sheriff’s Deputy Deron Brize for the 3 - 11 p.m.

TOLONO —Unit Seven Schools will hold centralized registration at Unity Junior High for all Pre-K through 8th-grade students on Thursday, August 2nd from 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm. 

On Friday, August 3rd, registration will take place from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm at each attendance center.

Tuiition waiver granted for Unit 7 out of district employees

TOLONO —Full time employees of Unit 7 who live outside of the district will now have a tuition waiver for their children.

Sadorus All-Stars 4-H club plants trees in Tolono's East Side Park

TOLONO — The Sadorus All-Stars 4H Club revieved $400 from the 2018 Farm Credit Illinois Community Improvement Grants program to improve East Side Park in Tolono with quality windbreak and shade trees. The club planted four trees in the park.

TOLONO —President Rob Murphy and members of the village board heard a pitch on June 19 from a utilities company intending to do a broad streamlining of Tolono’s struggling energy infrastructure.
