Unit 7 registation scheduled for August 2-3

TOLONO —Unit Seven Schools will hold centralized registration at Unity Junior High for all Pre-K through 8th-grade students on Thursday, August 2nd from 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

On Friday, August 3rd, registration will take place from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm at each attendance center.

This is a change from previous years where both days of registration were at the main campus; this year only the first day of registration will be centralized. High School students (9th-12th grades) will register at the high school building on the main campus. Registration forms are available to parents in advance on the district website to ease the registration process. Please visit www.unitsevenschools.com and find the “registration” link on the left hand side.  Click on “registration.”  At the bottom, you will see links to the elementary schools, junior high, and high school. Clicking on these links will allow you to find additional links to forms that can be completed online, and links to forms that can be downloaded and completed in advance of registration.

The first day of attendance for Unit Seven students in grades first through twelfth is Monday, August 20, 2018. This will be a full day of school.  School buses will run regular routes starting August 20th. Busing information will be available at registration.

Kindergarten conferences will be held August 20 and 21. Conference sign-ups will be available at registration. The first regular day for Kindergarten students is Wednesday, August 22nd. All students entering kindergarten must be five years of age or reach their fifth birthday by September 1, 2018.

Textbook rental fees for the 2018-2019 school year are $95.00 for K-8, $130 for 9-12 students.  Additional course fees will be charged for some courses at Unity High School.  Textbook fees should be paid at the time of registration. Kindergarten, fifth, ninth grade students and new students must have a physical examination and present the certificate of health approved by a licensed Illinois physician.  These forms are available at all school buildings. The district expectations are that each student be in compliance with the State of Illinois Immunization and Health Standards by the first day of school.  All kindergarten students and all new students to Unit Seven Schools have thirty days from the opening of school to submit their physical to the office.

If there are any questions, please contact your child’s building principal/office.
