Select among crafted ceramic cups and enjoy desserts, music, a silent auction and more at "Coffee and Tea, Cups and Dessert," a Parkland Art Gallery benefit scheduled for from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, in the gallery lounge.
Choose from among dozens of handmade cups donated by Parkland College ceramics program faculty and students as well as desserts provided by Great Harvest Bread Company. Guests will appreciate the sounds of Guitar Army while they visit the "State of the Art 2011-2012: National Biennial Ceramics Invitational" exhibit, curated by Suze Lindsay.
This exhibit, which runs through Feb. 4, features the work of 10 artists from across the U.S. Many of these works will be available for sale during the event.
Tickets to the gallery benefit are $30, available for advance purchase; cups will be chosen on a first come, first serve basis. Visit the Parkland Art Gallery website to view some of the silent auction pieces. All proceeds will support Parkland Art Gallery exhibitions.
