New club teaching Unity East students Spanish

After school one day, dozens of students in Charlotte Fullerton’s Spanish club at Unity East Elementary School gathered to learn how to introduce themselves to someone and to count in Spanish.
When the club meeting began, Fullerton demonstrated how to ask, “What is your name?” and how to say, “My name is” in Spanish. In minutes the youngsters were shaking hands with schoolmates as they exchanged greetings in the new language while their teacher moved throughout the room, guiding them with helpful prompts whenever necessary.
