Are you in the market for a prom dress? Prom is right around the corner, and if what you are looking for is a great dress at a reasonable price, then the first Moultrie-Douglas prom dress sale is where you should be shopping.
Maybe you have a prom dress (or two) hanging in your closet and you’d like to see someone else enjoy them, while at the same time recouping some of your investment. The Miss Moultrie-Douglas Pageant Committee is hosting a prom dress sale at the Tanger Outlet Center in suite D 850, between Book Warehouse and Bath & Body Works.
Bring your gently used formal dresses (long or short) and put them into the sale for a cost of $5 per dress. You price the dress and if it sells, you keep the proceeds. The per-dress fees will be put into a scholarship fund, which will be awarded to the 2013 Miss Moultrie-Douglas County Fair Queen. This is a great opportunity to buy or sell dresses at a reasonable cost, along with helping another young lady further her education.
The sale will be Jan. 25 through 27. Friday hours are 5 to 7 p.m., Saturday hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Dresses can be dropped off from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, through Thursday, Jan. 24.
The Miss Moultrie-Douglas Pageant Committee is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged dresses. Every effort will be made to protect dresses. Volunteers will be there to help girls try on dresses, as well as rehang them afterwards.
If you want that designer dress but cannot afford the price, this is the place for you. For more information, contact Sandy Hoke at (217) 493-3583 after 4 p.m.
