The Arthur Association of Commerce will host an event dedicated to fishing, hunting, boating and other outdoor activities popular in East Central Illinois on Friday, Feb. 24, and Saturday, Feb. 25, at the Moultrie-Douglas Fairgrounds in Arthur.
More than 50 vendors and displays representing archery and firearms vendors, fishing boats, motors, guides and tackle makers, taxidermy and wildlife art, conservation groups, bass and musky clubs, Lake Shelbyville attractions, IDNR and fisheries and more will make up the new show. Additional vendors are being added daily.
Saturday seminars are being added. Steve Welch, a Central Illinois guide who has won numerous crappie tournaments with over 100 different teams, will speak on the use of electronics and finding fish. He is a seven-time Crappie U.S.A Classic Qualifier and Ranger Boats pro-staff member. Seasoned photographer Curt Carter will also speak on how to capture the best outdoor photo memories.
Show hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25.
