Eagle Scout project benefits Philo

 Jonathan Decker, a member of Boy Scout Troop 66, led a renovation project at the Philo American Legion Post 1171 hall, and in so doing completed the final requirement needed to earn the Eagle Scout rank.
For his project, Decker, 17, decided to restore the wheelchair ramp, stairs and doorframe of the building at 108 S. Harrison St. during a workday on Sept. 2.
“I figured it would be good to do since it’s local,” Decker said.
