Champaign County Clerk Gordy Hulten has announced that a voter registration event has been scheduled for 9 a.m. to noon July 9 at the Tolono Public Library, 111 E. Main St., Tolono.
ìVoter registration is the critical first step towards a person exercising their right to vote,î Hulten said. ìAt these events, voters will be able to register as new voters or update their registration if they’ve recently moved or changed their name. Proper registration will ensure their eligibility to vote at future elections, and that’s one key to increasing voter turnout.î
