Public gets a chance to wish longtime Savoy leader well

U.S. Congressman Rodney Davis and State Rep. Brad Halbrook surprised outgoing village president Robert McCleary by honoring him for his 30 years of service to Savoy during an open house in his honor at the Savoy Recreation Center.
“It was amazing, that many people coming out,” McCleary said.
McCleary attended a similar open house the previous Saturday for outgoing St. Joseph village president B.J. Hackler, who served that village for 34 years.
