Annual dinner raises funds for Good Samaritans Program

The Good Samaritan Programs of Catholic Charities in Champaign and Piatt Counties benefited from their 13th annual steak dinner held on April 30, at the Philo Tavern.
Diane Ducey, a local radio personality, hosted the event, which was sponsored by the Catholic Charities Advisory Board.
Proceeds will help to support many programs including the Caring Companions Volunteer Program, which provides companionship, assistance and housekeeping tasks, transportation and other services as well as free professional in-home counseling to seniors in Champaign and Piatt counties.
