Sidney spared from major flooding woes

The heavy rains last week weren’t as harmful to Sidney as they have often been in the past.
As of Thursday afternoon, the only streets closed in the town were David, the main downtown street, and North Scarborough Street.
“The water’s going down right now, and the rain has stopped,” Supervisor of Operations Earl Bennett said.
