Ingeborg Marie Varney, 76, of Savoy passed away at 10:41 p.m. Friday, April 6, 2012, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana. She was born Nov. 5, 1935, in Neuhaus, Germany, to Adolf and Paula Troidl Feustel. She married Ronald Varney on Sept. 16, 1966, in Waukegan and he survives.
Also surviving is one son, Peter (Lea) Varney of Tolono; four grandchildren, Zac Patterson, Luc Patterson, Sophia Varney and Iain Varney, all of Tolono; one brother, Walter Feustel; and one sister, Lotte Buttner, both of Neuhaus, Germany.
She was employed as an office manager of the U.S. Navy Exchange.
A memorial visitation was held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, at Morgan Memorial Home, 1304 Regency Drive West, Savoy, where a memorial service took place at 7 p.m.
Inurnment will take place at a later date.
