Margaret Louise (Ray) Wilcoxon, 82, of Paxton, formerly of Tolono, died at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, March 31, 2012, at ASTA Care Nursing Home, Paxton.
She was born Nov. 9, 1929 in Patoka, Ill., a daughter of Earl Peddicord and Irene C. (Penter) Peddicord. Her parents preceded her in death.
She married Herschel G. Ray on Dec. 11, 1948, in Tuscola. He passed away on Oct. 16, 1970, in Tolono. She married Virgil Wilcoxon on Feb. 24, 1973, in Tolono. He passed away on June 11, 1993, in Urbana.
Graveside services were at 1 p.m. Monday, April 9, at Cisne Cemetery in Cisne, Ill. Freese Funeral Home, Tolono, is assisting with arrangements.
Margaret is survived by her daughter, Janet (Gerald) Pruitt of Paxton; two grandchildren, Vicky (Michael) Reetz of Milford and David Pruitt of Loda; and two great-grandchildren, Ashton and Lacey Pruitt of Paxton.
She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Elsie Ray of Cisne, and by several nieces and nephews.
Margaret was also preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Helen Peddicord of Alma, Ill.; and sister, Betty Wilson of Dix, Ill.
