Rockets open playoff run with emotional victory over Pontiac

The Unity Rockets football team knew they were up for a challenge last week, preparing for their first-round Class 4A playoff game against the Pontiac Indians. The Rockets had defeated Pontiac 38-14 during the second week of the season. But the Indians rebounded from an 0-2 start to win six of the final seven games to finish the regular season with a 6-3 record and a berth in the postseason against the Rockets Saturday at Hicks Field.
