Unity girls post strong second half of season

A season that started with a tough early schedule that included an eventual state finalist, and a major injury to a senior leader turned around once the calendar flipped over to 2013. As a result, the Unity High School girls basketball team ended the 2012-13 campaign as one of the most improved teams in the area. Coach Kelly Gallick’s squad posted a 9-3 mark after Christmas to finish with a 16-13 record overall, a 7-4 slate in the Okaw Valley Conference, good for fifth place, in addition to the consolation championship of the conference tournament.
