Sages top Rockets, 64-27

The Unity girls’ basketball team came up short against Monticello on Jan. 29, 64-27.
Elyce Knudsen led the Rockets in scoring with 13 points.
The Sages wasted no time in asserting their domination, jumping out to a 26-8 lead in the first period, thanks to 11 points by Zanna Myers and eight by Tatum McCall. The Rockets came out with a stronger defense in the second period, and the score was 38-19 at halftime. Monticello outscored Unity 10-6 in the third period and 16-2 in the final period to seal the victory.
Myers finished with 21 points, and McCall with 17 for the Sages.
