Elite softball wins NSA South World Series

The 2016-2017 Elite 12U softball season ended in spectacular fashion as the squad went to Chattanooga, Tenn., for the NSA South World Series and came away national champions. The Elite started the tourney against the Oakland Cobras Gold, the Michigan NSA state champions. In a close game that went back and forth throughout, the Elite scored three runs in the second inning and two more in the fourth on two suicide squeeze bunts, then held on for a 5-4 victory.
